FOCUS- Q1 Events Blog by Eimear Reihill, Marketing Executive at Aqua Comms
As we kick off 2019- a big year for Aqua Comms, we’re all hands-on deck gearing up for a busy few weeks of conferences ahead. Between now and March the team will be in the US, Europe and the Middle East focused on sharing some exciting company news and updates. Starting this week at PTC, one of the industry’s largest events- a non-profit organisation promoting the advancement of information and communication technologies and will take place in Hawaii.
CEO Nigel Bayliff will share his insights on the ‘Submarine Cable Connectivity Evolution: The Past, Present, and Future’ and VP Americas Partner & Federal Mike Sauer, who was proudly appointed to the Board of Governors at PTC, will share some exciting updates on Aqua Comms ‘North Atlantic Loop’– with a focus on AEC-2. Mike will also be present at Metro Connect, an event that continues to shape the future of telecoms in the North American market and will be held in Miami on 29-31 January.
Moving swiftly into February, Submarine Networks EMEA (SNE)- Europe’s leading submarine communications gathering will be Aqua Comms next big event on the docket. The event will take place in London on 12-13 February. On the 12th, we are looking forward to having our CCO, Chris Bayly deliver a keynote ‘Update from Aqua Comms’ as well as our Senior Global VP Operations and Engineering, Brad Kneller participate on a panel where he will share his views on what ‘The future of what subsea networks will look like’.
Whilst some of the team will be present at SNE, across London Maggie Parry, VP of Carrier and Wholesale will be sharing her industry knowledge by participating in a subsea session at the Carrier Community, an exclusive global telecom club and industry-networking platform conference.
Continuing the momentum, March brings the Subsea Middle East Summit where CEO Nigel Bayliff will be contributing to a session on March 4th titled ‘Pioneering technologies- how they are breaking the mould of legacy subsea infrastructure’. Over in Dubai for Capacity Middle East 7-9 March, Nigel will be joined by Chris and Maggie where they look forward to networking and sharing expertise and insights with key industry leaders.
Closing out these busy few weeks we will attend Data Centre World, the UK’s biggest technology event which will be held on 12-13 March at the London Excel and The Intelligent Network- an initiative to engage, unite and activate a global community of security professionals and industry influencers in their fight against cybercrime- which will take place in Paris on 18-19 March.
Here at Aqua Comms, we are very much looking forward to the opportunities these brilliant industry events provide. We especially look forward to sharing what is yet to come this year with friends –old and new and focusing on the future of our industry.
