Spectrum as a service is Aqua Comms’ response to growing customer demand for scalability and network control without the capital outlay associated with subsea fibre ownership.
Our subsea Spectrum offering gives you fractional ownership of a fibre pair - usually 25% or 50% - with your allocated Spectrum defined in GHz.
Our managed service means you don’t have to worry about the SLTE, we’ll take care of it all for you. If you’d prefer to handle it all yourself we also offer Spectrum as an unmanaged service.
Enjoy many of the benefits associated with fibre pair ownership without the capital outlay. Our Spectrum offering allows you to use your own technology - via whichever vendor you prefer - and control the timing of upgrades, modem installations etc.

All Spectrum is not created equal. Spectrum services require an extremely experienced operating team to manage and optimise - if provisioning is mishandled there can be privacy and performance risks to the entire fibre pair. Aqua Comms has built its reputation on delivering operational excellence in subsea connectivity. We own our fibre pairs, so you can be confident that when you buy from us, you’re buying dedicated engineering expertise, best-in-class equipment and comprehensive privacy safeguards.
Yes. As the owner of our fibre pairs, we can offer spectrum users comprehensive contractual protection, and full privacy within their partitioned spectrum. Our ‘good neighbour clause’ ensures that when you purchase spectrum from Aqua Comms, your spectral neighbours will operate within strictly managed parameters so everyone stays in their lane.
Managed spectrum services remove the operational uncertainty that puts some customers off spectrum products. You can access all of the scalability and flexibility of unmanaged spectrum, but without the liability and operating risk. Unmanaged services mean the customer takes responsibility for SLTE management, design and installation of equipment, equipping and lighting modems as required and adherence to power standards.
