Subsea Solutions, Simplified
Demand for capacity in the Transatlantic is booming, pushing operators to accelerate investment in fibre pair availability to supply for massive bandwidth needs. Exponential capacity demands are terrific for the growth of our industry but, as bandwidth trends go up and to the right, so does the need for power to fuel these networks. As a responsible operator, we are constantly faced with the question – how can we increase supply and minimise (or even decrease) power requirements?

Operational Excellence, Always
We recently entered a long-term lease agreement with the Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) for 25% of a fibre pair on our Transatlantic subsea network, facilitating high-performance data connectivity between New York, Dublin, and London. The aim was to enhance data transfer for the U.S. Department of Energy’s scientific research community, particularly in light of increasing data demands from projects like CERN's Large Hadron Collider.
